  The British Virgin Islands are a self-governing British overseas territory, situated in the Caribbean just to the east of the US Virgin Islands. The BVIs, as they are called, are a popular travel destination for sailors, fishermen (and women), sun worshippers, and other independent travellers, albeit not for the cost conscious. Boating among the dozens of tiny, mostly uninhabited, islands is a great stop on any tour of the Caribbean islands.

• Virgin Gorda

  The dramatically shaped island of Virgin Gorda in British Virgin Islands reminded Christopher Columbus of a reclining woman, so he named it Virgin Gorda, the "Fat Virgin." The third largest island of the BVI, Virgin Gorda measures eight and a half square miles. In addition to the sheer beauty of the island, travelers are drawn to Virgin Gorda for its yacht clubs, quiet coves, safe anchorages and luxury resorts. On the North Sound, the Bitter End Yacht Club, accessible only by water, offers relaxation in an extraordinary, secluded environment. And with its spectacular setting, Little Dix Bay Resort, designed by Laurance S. Rockefeller, has its own spectacular setting. Virgin Gorda itself is a wonderful island that is unspoilt and home to the legendary 'Baths', while only a stone's throw away are many other islands to explore.

  Day 1: Tortola - Virgin Gorda

  Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative who will help you locate your vehicle.

  Baraka Point Estate's Staff will pick you up at Beef island airport and transfer you back to the Island of Virgin Gorda and where you will be met by the homes 2 Ford Explorers which will take you on a ten minute ride back to the estate where you can to begin to unwind!

  Take some time to yourself and head to Baraka Point's Beach just beside the villa and enjoy your first afternoon relaxing in the sun on the private beach loungers.

  Located on the west coast of Virgin Gorda, Baraka Point Estate is an exclusive private retreat that is rented to only one group at a time to ensure guests’ privacy.   Day 2: Virgin Gorda

  Enjoy a half day out on Baraka Point's ski boat with a number of adventure activities to choose from such as Water Skiing, Wake-Boarding, Tubing, Air Chair and Wake-Surfing. Your skipper will take you out on the open waters so you can spend the day relaxing and having fun.

  Day 3: Virgin Gorda

  Take some time to do some independent exploring the island. Hope in your Baraka Point Ford explorer and head for the western tip of the island and explore Gorda Peak. The top of Gorda Peak offers an observation tower offering the best views of this tiny Caribbean Island. Gorda Peak is a 265-acre national park starting at the 1,000 foot contour and continuing up to the island's highest point of 1,370 feet. The area, which contains a wide variety of indigenous and exotic plants, has been extensively reforested with mahogany trees. An observation tower at the top offers spectacular views of the surrounding islands.

  Consider an optional island hop today over to Saba rock. Just under one acre in size at low tide, it is the perfect blend of tranquility & island fun. The resort features a hotel, restaurant & bar whilst being surrounded by the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean. Browse through a variety of Caribbean souvenirs, as well as Saba Rock logo wear in our eclectic Gift Shoppe. Also be sure to explore our beautiful gardens of local flora and relax amongst the tropical breezes in one of our beachside hammocks.   Day 4: Tortola - Virgin Gorda

  Have lunch at one of the local eateries in Tortola. Suggested restaurants for lunch include: The Dove Restaurant and Wine Bar and Pussers Road Town Pub.

  Just 5 minutes by taxi you will find yourself at the Dolphin Discovery Swim program. You and your family will have the opportunity to receive all the affection of these tender and playful animals that always seem to smile. In this swim with dolphins program you and your kids will be able to enjoy safe and fun activities that Dolphin Discovery Tortola has specially designed for all ages. Receive a handshake, view these mammals up close and pet them if you so dare.

  Hop on the ferry to return to Virgin Gorda after your time on Tortola.

  Spend the evening relaxing as you listen to the upbeat rhythms of The Marlon Abner Steel Pans band who will perform for you at your villa.

  Day 6: Virgin Gorda

  Relax after breakfast with a swim in the pool and curl up with a magazine pool side and take in the best weather of the day or have a siesta on a lounger under an umbrella at the beach.

  If the coral proves intriguing, consider a snorkeling trip during your stay. Just a short drive from Baraka Point is Spring Bay in Virgin Gorda.  It has a gorgeous sandy beach perfect for snorkeling. Nearby at The Baths, an extraordinary natural landscape awaits, with partially submerged grottoes created by huge boulders that were scattered by ancient volcanic activity. Snorkelers can tour giant boulder fields or immerse themselves in coral-encrusted shallows.
  
  

  Board your private charter 60 ft Sunseeker Yacht for a 2 hour sunset cocktail cruise this evening. Enjoy the evening with friends aboard a luxury yacht cruising the waters around Virgin Gorda. • Trip Terms & Conditions

  • Your deposit is due immediately on booking (50% of program price durig regular season and 65%durig holiday periods such as Christmas, New Year, Easter and Thanksgiving). The balance is due 90 days prior to departure. We accept payment via credit card, certified check, wire transfer or money order.
  • Tour quotes do not include airfare to/from the trip start point unless noted on the itinerary
  • Cost increases in currency exchange, government fees, taxes, surcharges or hotel/lodge tariff increases between quote date and start date are payable by the client.
  • Availability cannot be guaranteed until booked. We will exercise best efforts to book villa per the itinerary, however, in busy seasons and with client bookings made within 90 days of tour date we may be forced to offer substitutes.
  • Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will be suject to 30% of total program price during regular season and 65% during holiday periods (as noted above). 60-89 days will be subject to loss 50% of program price. 29 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
