Slovenia is a country in south-central Europe bordering Italy to the west, the Adriatic Sea and Croatia to the south, Hungary and Austria to the north. It is a member of the EU. Although Slovenia is a small country, there is an exceptionally wide variety of habitats. In the north of Slovenia are the Alps. About 58% of the country is covered by forests. And Its climate is sub-mediterranean on the coast where there are a number of resorts. The capital of Slovenia is Ljubljana, though it is most visited for the storybook island of Bled.
