Naples sprawls along the shores of the Bay of Naples between the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean and the towering Versuvius volcano. It is a chaotic and colourful city, its grittiness, noise and old grandeur makes it nothing short of compelling. Home of the pizza, there is no shortage of good restaurants providing their take on the classic Margerita, as well as an abundance of seafood dishes and great desserts. The historical centre is a labyrinth of narrow streets and piazzas, divided in two by a long narrow cobbled street full of craftsman, cafes and shops.
