Chateau Elan

Château Élan is like a mirage rising out of the early morning light, located 40 minutes north from Atlanta and set on 3,500 acres of manicured vineyards and meadows. The rolling hills and vistas of natural beauty act as the perfect setting for this 16th-century style French Chateau surrounded by the finest winery and some of the best golf courses in Georgia. Château Élan is a complete resort, where European luxury blends with Southern hospitality at the 274-room inn and spa with private villas, golf courses, and an equestrian centre. There is a subtle blend of sophistication that defines Chateau Elan from other world class properties - its uncompromising attention to detail, high standards of guest services and phenomenal golf are maintained without exception!

WHERE WE DINE...

Fleur-de-lis is a lovely, sunny, dining room overlooking the lake and gazebo at the Château Élan Spa. Here, beautifully prepared gourmet dishes are served using the choicest of healthy ingredients. Afternoon tea is served with marvellous low-cal desserts and is the highlight of the spa experience.

L'Auberge has a relaxed sports bar atmosphere with large screen televisions, pool tables, and miniature putting green. A small stage and sound system provides long time musician Melvin Banks the opportunity to perform live Jazz and Blues Friday and Saturday nights.

Le Clos in the Winery is an intimate fine dining room (seating only 28) with a Mediterranean courtyard ambiance. The Clos offers a pre fixe menu of five courses accompanied by Chateau Élan's finest estate bottled wines or other choices from an extensive wine list.

Paddy's Irish Pub was officially commissioned in Dublin in 1997 by Château Élan Completely authentic, all of Paddy's furnishings and fixtures were created in Ireland, and the pub was then shipped to Château Élan and reassembled there.

Designed by Denis Griffiths, the championship layout was instantly recognized as one of the top courses in Georgia. Water comes into play on ten of the 18 holes while 87 bunkers lend challenge and character to the lush fairways and bent grass greens. Ranked in the Zagat Survey's America's Best Golf Courses with "Very Good to Excellence" scores in all categories. Wake up early and enjoy breakfast before setting out for another 18 holes on The Woodlands Course. The Woodlands was designed by Griffiths and opened in 1996. The Ritz Carlton Reynolds Plantation Package

Just 75 minutes east of Atlanta International Airport on Georgia's Lake Oconee, the stunning Ritz-Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation draws on local history and culture as the foundation of the guest experience. Set against the shimmering blue backdrop of Lake Oconee, the Lodge offers luxurious accommodations and 81 holes of golf along the pristine coast. The 26,000 square foot spa, recently ranked one of the top 5 spas in North America by Travel + Leisure magazine, rejuvenates guests with southern-inspired service and treatments, and the lake itself offers many exceptional activities and diversions.

WHERE WE PLAY...

GREAT WATERS
Great Waters, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-signature design, winds through densely wooded evergreen corridors only to open up to nine holes featuring the blue waters of Lake Oconee as the rough. Named as one of the best courses in Georgia, second only to Augusta National, Great Waters is one of the most aesthetically inspiring golf courses in the continental United States.

OCONEE COURSE
The Oconee Course, the Rees Jones-designed resort course, presents a golfing challenge unmatched by any other in the nation. Described by many as "mind-game golf," the new Jones addition to the Reynolds Plantation landscape is designed to be a true risk/reward challenge. Noted for its spectacular par threes, the course offers five holes in which Lake Oconee comes directly into play and four others tendering magnificent lake views. The interior creeks and ponds and expansive vistas provide spectacular scenery and ensure an unrivalled challenge for players of all experience levels.

THE NATIONAL COURSE
The National Course, designed by Tom Fazio is the third gem at Reynolds Plantation. Boasting 27-holes, the National features impressive elevations, wonderful views and several holes skirting the shores of Lake Oconee. The site, with dense forests of hardwoods, pines, flowering wild dogwoods and some of Lake Oconee's most dramatic lakefront topography, provides a perfect canvas for the artistry of Tom Fazio, one of golf's premier modern architects.

REYNOLDS LANDING
Reynolds Landing, is the original golf course on Lake Oconee and is centered on a classic Bob Cupp golf course that earned numerous awards when it opened in 1986.

PLANTATION COURSE
Plantation Course, has been ranked among the “Ten Best New Courses.” and is characterized by a natural, rolling layout that possesses innumerable subtleties. The hills are natural to the terrain, but the funny lies and bounces result from the ingenuity of shaping during construction.” Many of the pleasures of play here have little to do with swings and scores and much to do with the magnificence of the setting.
